Ingredients are a characterization problem first
Finished goods usually announce what they are. Ingredients do not. A pallet of supersacks might be food-grade starch, a functional additive, a processing aid or a blend that was never fully documented. Because acceptance and the appropriate downstream handling depend on classification, ingredient projects start with identifying the material rather than pricing a truck.
Send the product name, the supplier spec sheet or SDS if one exists, the container type and count, and photographs of the labels. That is normally enough to determine service options quickly.
Dry Ingredients & Powders
Flours, starches, sugars, proteins, gums, mineral blends and flavor powders in sacks, supersacks or drums.
Liquid Ingredients
Syrups, concentrates, oils, emulsions, extracts and processing liquids in drums, totes or bulk.
Off-Spec Inputs
Material that failed incoming inspection, was mislabeled, or fell outside specification after testing.
Unusable Raw Materials
Contaminated, compromised, water-damaged or otherwise unusable manufacturing inputs.

We will not give a definitive regulatory answer about an ingredient before the material has been characterized. Once we know what it is, we can explain the handling options, what documentation is available and how the pickup would be scheduled.

Answers depend in part on the material and how it is classified. When a definitive answer requires review, we say so and confirm after we see the product details.
What ingredient formats do you handle?

Sacks, supersacks, pails, fiber and steel drums, poly drums, IBC totes, boxed liners and palletized cases. Tell us the container type and count along with approximate weight.
Do you need an SDS for ingredient disposal?

If one exists for the material, send it. An SDS or specification sheet is the fastest way to characterize an ingredient and determine acceptance, handling and the appropriate receiving facility.
What about unlabeled or unidentifiable material?

Unidentified material needs to be characterized before it can be accepted or transported. Tell us what you know — where it came from, what process it was used in, what it looks like — and we will explain what identification is required.
Can you remove ingredients still sealed in original packaging?

Yes. Sealed, unopened inventory is often the simplest to handle. Note whether containers are sealed, partially used or compromised, since that affects handling.
