Expired Product Disposal

Expired Product & Inventory Disposal for Commercial Facilities

Expired inventory ties up racks, cold storage and working capital, and it rarely leaves on its own. SoCal Product Disposal coordinates commercial expired product disposal across Southern California, from a few pallets in a cooler to warehouse-scale obsolete inventory.

  • Expired inventory
  • Code-date product
  • Obsolete SKUs
  • Full truckloads

Why expired inventory becomes an operations problem

Expired product usually accumulates quietly. A short-dated run gets held pending a disposition decision, a customer rejects a shipment, a promotion ends early, or a seasonal SKU never moves. Weeks later the pallets are still on the floor, blocking receiving lanes and consuming refrigerated space that has real cost per square foot.

The material also carries risk while it sits. Product past code that is still on-site can be mistakenly picked, shipped or counted as sellable inventory. For food and beverage operations that risk is a serious audit finding.

How an expired inventory disposal project runs

Inventory review

We start from your list or photographs: SKU descriptions, pallet or container counts, packaging and approximate weight. If an SDS or spec sheet applies to the material, that is reviewed as well.

Service options and pricing

Acceptance and disposal method depend on the material and how it is classified. We confirm the appropriate handling path and quote the removal based on volume, packaging, location and access.

Scheduled commercial pickup

We coordinate transportation with appropriate service providers and match equipment to your dock, forklift availability and staging space.

Documentation

Where applicable, projects can be accompanied by photographs, counts, weight information, receiving or disposal documentation and destruction records.

Who We Serve

Built for commercial operations, not households

SoCal Product Disposal works with manufacturers, food and beverage companies, warehouses, 3PLs, distributors, importers and co-packers. We do not provide residential junk removal.

Questions

Expired Product Disposal FAQs

Answers depend in part on the material and how it is classified. When a definitive answer requires review, we say so and confirm after we see the product details.

What counts as expired product for a commercial disposal project?

+

Any finished good or input past its code date, best-by date, shelf-life window or internal hold period that your company has decided cannot be sold, donated or reworked. That includes packaged retail goods, foodservice cases, bulk containers and ingredient inventory.

Do you need the product removed from pallets first?

+

No. In most cases palletized inventory is easiest to handle as-is. Tell us the pallet count, approximate weight and whether the loads are stable and shrink-wrapped.

Can expired product be picked up from a third-party warehouse?

+

Yes. We frequently coordinate with 3PL and public warehouse contacts. We need the site address, dock hours, a site contact and any check-in requirements.

What if we are not sure how the material is classified?

+

Send the product description and an SDS or specification sheet if one exists. Classification determines acceptance, handling and the appropriate receiving facility, so we resolve that before scheduling rather than guessing.

Ready to move unusable inventory out of your facility?

Send the product details and photographs. We will review the material and respond with service options and scheduling.
